God Save Our Queen

On the 6th February this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.

To celebrate there are many events taking place throughout the year, including a 4 day bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June.

The Queen's birthday parade will be held on Thursday 2nd June. This will include trooping the colour and a royal gun salute. There will also be an impressive flypast as the Royal family make their balcony appearance. There will then be a service of thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral on Friday.

A Platinum Party at the Palace will be held on Saturday 4th June. The line up of acts is yet to be announced but we are sure it will be amazing! The celebrations will finish on Sunday with the Big Jubilee Lunch. Over 60,000 people have registered to take part. There will then be a Pagaent which will feature the gold state carriage. 10,000 people are involve, including volunteers, performers, key workers, the military and many national treasures.

We are really looking forward to the celebrations and we are already excited here at The Farm. The Queen herself is in pride of place and we have found out some fun facts about her.
